Distinctive Albums International was created by a team who believe that professional photographers deserve the custom and unique styles of books that they have become accustomed to.
Julie Garner has been the Manager of both Bookcrafts and Sassi Albums over the last five years. When the opportunity arose for Julie to take over her father's reins, so to speak, she stepped up. Julie saw the need within the industry for this type of product and is keen to continue to supply customers with the quality that they have come to expect.
Catherine McDermott has been working for both Bookcrafts and Sassi Albums over the last five years out on the factory floor. Before this, she spent five years at Albums Australia, also working with John Garner, on the factory floor. She brings the technical expertise that customers have come to expect.
In following the traditions set up as standard by John Garner Bookcrafts, all of our products are made by hand, by qualified bookbinders who have trained under John for the last eight years. We are based on the outskirts of Geelong, on the way to the beach and the Great Ocean Road. Our team believes that quality is one of the most important issues for photographers and they strive to keep our quality high so that you get your book on time and ready to hand over to your clients. John has always been a big believer in books being done by hand, rather than machine, and this is a tradition our team is very happy to comply with. John states that " a properly hand-made book will last forever because it uses a technique that no machine can ever attempt to replicate."
